The poster for the first edition of the event, which took place in 1924, was commissioned to the artist from the Marche region Federico Seneca, who worked with his own studio in Milan and was already the author of numerous illustrations for Perugina and Buitoni. The Cup was won by Emilio Materassi (who died tragically four years later during the Monza circuit Grand Prix) in an Itala car that had a Hispano-Suiza airplane engine fitted to increase its power.
