A most magnificent embroidered lace bedcover with very generous gathered sides of 30cm deep and scalloped at the edges with small tape.
It has withstood the test of time and is in mint condition.
The embroidery is exquisitely and superbly choreographed!
And the entire bedcover a has been done by hand.
A design obviously had to be tried out on a piece of fabric before being applied by hand to the tulle fabric and as you will see from the many photos the central part is magnificently and so richly embroidered.
The bows with handmade ribbons (crochet?) are beautifully done and so are the 4 sways in the central island of flowers with petals and intercepted with small leaves
.The "heart" of the panel is crocheted and again superbly executed.
A very rare piece and could almost be a museum item.
