This lot consists of a special set of chess pieces from the renowned brand Chavet, with accompanying box. Especially the knights have distinctive lines. Also special is that the chess pieces are weighted. The French company Chavet is a very reputable manufacturer of chess pieces. The company was founded in 1912 in the French Jura and still exists. The chess pieces were frequently made of boxwood from the Jura, this is probably also true for this set. It is also remarkable that world champion Anatoli Karpov has been under contract for a short time and there is even a set of chess pieces named after him.
