Zundapp wanted to release a scooter during the scooter rage which came over from Italy in the early 50s. They were immensely popular in Italy and after a search, Zundapp found the Milanese Moto Parilla. Moto Parilla had a pioneering technical concept which was taken over by Zundapp. The name Bella was chosen because it would make the buyer think of the sunny south...
The Bella scooter from 1953 is the first Zündapp with a swing arm. The Bella reaches 80 km/h with its 150 cc. Normally, 125 cc was the norm for scooters of that period. Almost 18,000 were sold in three years. This first R150 has 7.3 hp and has a kerb weight of 130 kg.
The Bella is in very good, running condition.
Everything works, such as the headlights and break light.
The odometer works, as well as the lighting in the gauge.
The Bella has an electric starter via a dynamo.
The battery was recently replaced and the charging current is working correctly.
The Bella has 4 gears and shifts smoothly.
It is a pleasant scooter to ride with.
