A fine porcelain 'Pattipan' dish, measuring circa 13cm in diameter and weighing 97g, decorated in underglaze blue with landscape and floral decors in lotus-shaped cartouches, the rim lined with floral and geometric patterns. The nomenclature Pattipan refers to the fruit of the same name that has a similar cross section, on which the design of this type of dish was based. Estimated age: Mid 18th century.
