A beautiful heavy porthole with very nice patina from an old company from Rainhill, Liverpool. The company was founded in 1918 and no longer exists.
I think the porthole is between 75 and 100 years old. The connoisseur will know.
I suspect it comes from a large ship given the weight and signs of users on the bronze. However, these only make the porthole more beautiful.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure out where and when it were used.
Beautifully made of bronze. Number 13.
The closures work fine. The porthole can easily be taken apart.
Of this porthole, 1 more is offered that is exactly the same , only with another number on it.
I've clearly put the details of the porthole in the pictures.
Also a number of pictures on which they are both depicted. The other porthole is also offered on Catawiki.
The photos speak louder than words in this case so that´s why I have added a lot of photos, so that you can get a clear impression of the state of the porthole.
Will be very beautiful in a nautical interior but of course also interesting for the maritime collector.
- outside diameter 42 cm
- interior diameter glass 22 cm
The porthole will be carefully packaged, shipped with registered and insured post with track and trace code.
Given the weight (22 kg) we only ship within Europe.
