Hungary - 1915-1930

ANTIQUE - TWO 100-YEAR-OLD ROTHSCHILD SERVING DISHES FROM THE YEARS 1915–1930.

Exclusive, hand-decorated porcelain from Hungarian manufacturer Herend.

White porcelain with an animal motif combined with the beauty of nature and surrounded by insects.

Everything is accentuated by gold ornamentation and reliefs.

This incredibly valuable and unique artwork was designed for the Rothschild family in the 19th century.

Baroness Rothschild lost her pearl necklace in the garden of the residence in Vienna. The necklace was found by the gardener who noticed birds playing with it. And that is how, according to the legend, the unique artwork was created.

The porcelain additionally has a stamp 530 as well as a stamped but poorly visible inscription HEREND.

Dimensions:

Height: 3 cm
Diameter: 18 cm

Porcelain in perfect condition - without defects. The artwork as well as the gilding are without abrasions.

The items will be packed carefully so that they reach their new owner safely. The parcel will be shipped by priority mail with a tracking code.
