A Chinese (Zhejiang Province) crackled green celadon ('longquan') lidded square ('fangding') incense burner, 2nd half 20th century, ca 15 cm. high, 14 cm. long and 8.5 cm. wide.

The body relief decorated with chrysanthemum, the sides with rectangular ears, the legs with so-called 'taotie' masks, the cover crowned with a 'foo' dog, his open mouth functioning as vent hole, the sides with triangular diaper pattern, in excellent condition.
