Alfonso Sostres (Barcelona, 1962) is a graphic designer of the generation of Pati Núñez, Claret Serrahima and company. He was a freelance creative of the famous time of the 1980s, when venues such as the Si,Yes, Otto Zutz, Zsa-Zsa, Seltz, Rothko, the Gambrinus, the Avila Towers, the Network, Nick Havanna, KGB, Velvet, Snoocker, Salero, the Samoan restaurant Grace, etc, were fashionable
Designers of all kinds and graphic designers such as Pati Núñez, Claret Serrahima, Josep Bagà, América Sánchez, Peret and Alfonso himself shared out the work and made logos, posters, brochures, flyers and even the interiors.
It is time for architects and interior designers such as Eduard Samsó, Alfred Arribas, Dani Freixas, Carles Riart, Gabriel Ordeig, Santi Roqueta, Antoni Arola, Mariscal and the veteran Pepe Cortés. They all projected and designed all those fashion venues that bring back fond memories. Nostalgia of those locals designed by design professionals who have followed different paths and who belonged to different generations, but who were part of the Barcelona "movement" of the 1980s; some of those places that Omar Calabrese called "neo-Baroque".
