Antoine Dubois - Mons Pottery Belgium Bergen - Art Deco jar

Description
Antoine Dubois - Mons Pottery Belgium Bergen - Art Deco jar
Belgium - 1920-1949 - Ceramic

A very rare art deco pot by Antoine Dubois with the known tight cubist motifs that he applied several times to similar, cubist to almost modernist vases from the early Art Deco period.

The vase is signed at the bottom with a stamp ‘MEX’. To finish it off, Antoine Dubois placed his own signature on the belly.

The pot was produced by the company he founded himself in 1920, on his return to Bergen/Mons, named 'Mons Pottery Belgium'. In 1925, the name changed to La Céramique Montoise. From then on, the vases were marked ‘Bergen’ at the bottom, so it is certain that this vase was produced before 1925 and after 1920.
MEX refers to the specific production of this type modernist vases, as it only found on vases with this motif.

A very unique piece and very difficult to find anyway. It is in an excellent condition.
Remember, it's 100 years old.

The height is approximately 10 cm, the diameter is 13 cm.

Will be shipped very safely packaged and at buyer’s risk.
