Pierre Duval was a French geographer, cartographer, and publisher who worked in Abbeville and Paris. In addition to numerous maps and atlases, his work includes geographic lexicons in French.
The map has been used in the past. Two larger moisture stains, the margins have some cracks, these can be seen in the pictures.
