Nice orchestra of various jazz musicians. Consisting of approximately 15 separate figurines, 18 pieces - made of Parastone. Beautifully finished with eye for detail.

Figurines are between 8 and 18 cm high and in good, undamaged condition. Possibly with light wear and tear.

The figurines are hardly ever offered these days and were sold in the 1990s in a special store in Amsterdam. Purchase prices at the time between €25 and €49 per figurine

Jazz is an improvisation-based music style, influenced by West African rhythms. It originated in the Afro-American community of New Orleans, from a cross-fertilisation of ragtime, blues, folk and negro spirituals.

Originally the word jazz meant a "very energetic dance".
