The blade of this sword is nicely bright and it is etched on 3 sides. The etches are beautifully executed. It is marked with the artillery unit “ Westf. Train Bat. N° 7”, two different eagles, cannons and other weaponry, …
Triple etched swords from train artillery units are very tough to find.

The hilt and knuckle basket have preserved almost all of their plating and show an intact sharkskin-over-wooden grip. Grip and blade are all firmly in place.

The scabbard shows good paint coverage. It is completely straight and shows some wear.
