Le Rallic made his debut in the newspaper ‘Le Rire’, and quickly distinguished himself with illustrations in numerous other satirical newspapers. He was a regular at the ‘Salon des humoristes’, where his knack for comedy could hardly be ignored.
He subsequently began his career as a cartoonist, becoming one of the pioneers of French comics. While continuing his work as an illustrator for a large number of periodicals for young people, he also worked with the major publishers of the period in France: Fayard, Offenstadt, Fleurus, Montsouris… and Gordinne in Belgium.
