Henrick Goltzius (1558 - 1617) was a Dutch painter and engraver.
He was one of the first great Dutch engravers of the early Baroque period, known as Northern Mannerism; he was known for his sophisticated technique and for the "exuberance" of his compositions.
He studied painting for a few years with his father, while learning the techniques of engraving from the versatile artist Dirck Volckertszoon Coornhert
