Nicely framed winter. Auctioned at Schloss Ahlden in 2007 for 6500,- including commission.
The work was restretched and can be hung on the wall immediately.

He was born in Amsterdam, where he learned to be a real estate agent and later also worked as one. In his spare time, he painted. This changed in 1834, when Arnoldus Johannes decided to focus entirely on painting. From 1835 until 1836, he made a study trip to Bad Bentheim and the Harz mountains in Germany, where he produced landscape paintings. Eymer was a pupil of Cornelis Steffelaar for some time. After his study trip, Eymer moved to Haarlem, where he lived until his death in 1863. Work by Arnoldus Eymer can be seen in the Frans Hals Museum and Teylers Museum, both in his hometown of Haarlem.
