This is a 35mm FED 2 rangefinder camera produced by FE Dzerzhinsky Labour Commune in Kharkov, Ukraine, during the rule of the Soviet Union. The FED camera line was born as a straight copy of German Leica cameras. The FED 2 was very similar to the original Leica design but offered several upgrades that make it desirable for collectors who want to have a Leica style camera but without the Leica prices.
