Beautiful authentic antique solid cast-iron cinder tray / coal kit, also called turtle because of its shape.  The lid is richly decorated with flowers and an image of Zeus surrounded by Rococo roles.  Original, marked with text : Corneau Freres A Charleville Ardennes"  With copper knob in the form of an acorn or pine cone. The coal-scuttle stands on 4 legs.  Can be opened because of the hinged lid. Upper hood is secured with a single welding point to prevent sliding and for added stability in the lid. The imposing impressive object is in very nice condition and the patina is starting to rust. Weight approx. 25 kg, the size is approximately 55×40×35cm (length×width×height). Due to the weight and vulnerability, to be picked up in Waalwijk, the Netherlands. Please see the photos for more details, these are part of the description.
