Wilhelm Landsmann (Vienna 1906-1986)

Colour etching on paper No. 85 of 250, signed in pencil on the bottom by the Austrian artist Wilhelm Landsmann. The sheet size of the etching is 39 cm x 29.3 cm, printed on the plate it is 24 cm x 19.5 cm. Sheet in fairly good condition for its age, slight bumps in the paper.
Wilhelm Landsmann was born in Vienna in 1906. From 1925 to 1929, Wilhelm Landsmann studied art and style history. Wilhelm Landsmann attended the art academy with Professor Jettmar, where he learned his graphic arts training, and passed his teaching examination for art education in higher schools. Landsmann became a senior member of the Professional Association of Austrian Visual Artists and founder of the Traunviertler and Vienna Artists Guild. 1966 - 1973 Wilhelm Landsmann had six collective exhibitions in Badgastein, he became known as an etcher, traditional costume and perch painter and portraitist. Museum purchases by Salzburg, Badgastein and Vienna.
