A remarkable Kala figure of archaic, stylized form, a slender torso with a pointed navel, protruding, conical breasts, shortened arms with flattened, planklike hands, the elongated neck is supporting a head of nearly cubistic form, a threeparted coiffure in correspondence with funnel-shaped ears, shiny, blackened patina, traces of ritual use.
Fair condition with a great patina of age. The right hair tip is restored in the past.
Provenance: former private collection from Belgium.
