Rob Clous (1940) - Vervoersmiddelen

Description
Rob Clous (1940) - Vervoersmiddelen
Etching - Hand signed - 27/50 - 1988

Rob Clous was born on April 28, 1940, in Haarlem. He has worked there since 1963 as a visual artist. His work consists mainly of colour etchings, of which he has made an impressive number. Remarkable in his work is the multitude of colours. The bright and colourful prints were born out of his early simple black and white prints, which he made on roofer zinc.

The etchings are made with four colouring pages, usually yellow, red, blue and black. When printing, these fit exactly over each other, creating a wealth of colours. This beautiful use of colour can also be found in his recent ceramic work.

This hand-coloured piece comes from the company collection of EY.
