Jan Knap (1949) - Spelende kinderen

Description
Jan Knap (1949) - Spelende kinderen
Lithograph - Hand signed - I / XX

The Czech painter Jan Knap (Chrudim, 1949) is an exceptional figure in contemporary art, because he uses a religious iconography in his oeuvre. The way he reflects his subjects is all the more striking. His paintings are static, paradisiacal scenes with as far as possible driven simplicity and attention to the little things that carry the miracle of life. Knap doesn’t care for Realism. What he does care about is the classic trinity of good, the true and the beauty.
