In good condition, this special Goto vase/cup from Italian designer Gaetano Pesce (1939) for Café Florian in Venice in 1995.
Each "Goto" vase/cup is unique due to the different shapes and colours that are used. This Goto has red as the main colour, with a bit of yellow and a blue spot.
Dimensions: Height 15 cm x Diameter 9 cm x 11.5 cm.
It has a vase based on the lion of San Marco.
And there’s an Italian text around the Goto vase: "A toast to Venice, so it will become a place of modern life, modern behaviour, progress, services, joy, optimism, discoveries, confidence in the future, courage, openness to the culture of the contemporary world and not a place of prejudices, protection, conservatism, immobility, sleep-inducing place, museum cult of the past, reactionary example, hopeless location for future generations, full of torpor, provincialism, foolish and nostalgic enterprises. Let us dispose of this mask which Venice calls a living area".
Marked at the bottom "domus 1995, Florian Temporanea", see the close-up photos.
