Fon Klement (1930-2000) - Floraison

Description
Fon Klement (1930-2000) - Floraison
Board cut - Hand signed - 181/199 - 1995

Fon Klement was a self-taught artist. After a short period when he became famous as a figurative painter and wood carver, he made the first multicolour graphic sheets from 1960 on, with his typical technique "the relief printing board cut". Recognizable form elements gradually made way for more abstract motifs in a sober range of colours. For Fon Klement, the later (re)discovery of watercolour technique came just in time. He was artistically seen at a crossroads of roads. The need to change course became stronger. Fon Klement went on a quest and travelled through Provence for more than ten weeks.

in the 1980s, Fon Klement broke through with his still life and interior images.

This piece comes from the company collection of EY.
