Very beautiful and decorative iron sculpture by Theo Niermeijer. In original good condition. The rust is characteristic of his work.
Unsigned and unnoticed, what is often the case with his sculptures. The work comes from the estate of a collector.

Theo Niermijer was a sculptor, painter, graphic artist & architect. Niermeijer studied at the Institute of Applied Arts Education in Amsterdam and at the National Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He went to the art academy in Warsaw. Niermeijer lived and worked in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Warsaw and Marrakech.

He incorporated his travel experiences into his art. He used iron, steel, car scrap and (iron) waste a lot. Therefore, he called himself the scrapyard archaeologist.
