Two Timor statuettes of the Sunda Islands in Eastern Indonesia.
The darkest hieratic figure on the left with a shiny brown patina with his hands resting on the abdomen. The round figurative head is very expressive. Heavy wood with a shiny patina.
On the right, the off-centre male figure turns his head to the left. The thorax is out of proportion compared to rest of the body. The extremity is cylindrical so it may have been used as a container stopper. Light wood with a clear patina. Small restoration on the left leg.
