Silver halide print of a photograph by Eddy Wiggins, made at Picto in 2017. Limited edition of 50 copies, numbered. This photograph is N°4/50. Eddy Wiggins (1904-1989), born in New Orleans, he left Chicago in 1933 to try his luck in Paris. Correspondent of the Chicago Defender, he covered the jazz scene in Paris and became one of the first photographers of the ‘Jazz Hot’ magazine. After the war, Wiggins became the jazz photographer and correspondent of many American magazines and rubbed shoulders with big names of the jazz scene: Ray Charles, Duke Ellington, Dizzie Gillespie and Count Basie. In mint condition. Unframed. Shipped via Colissimo with track and trace.
