Netherlands and France. - 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.

A collection of bloodletting instruments. Consisting of four bloodletting basins, a fleam hammer and two four-bladed fleams in a horn holder. And a box with 10 blown cupping glasses.
The bloodletting basins have a diameter of 25 to 35 cm. The smallest basin, of yellow copper and with a diameter of 25 cm is a soil find from a 17th century excavation in Rotterdam. The bottom patina is still clearly visible in the base ring. The other basins, three more of yellow copper and one of iron are 18th and 19th century. There is also a palm wood fleam hammer, length 25 cm and two horn-encased 4-bladed fleams. Of these one marked "ROY FONTENAY". Furthermore, a wooden box with 10 hand-blown cup glasses with a flipped rim and a polished pontil on the button. All glasses are flawless and from before 1900.
