Late 2nd half of the 2nd century B. C. to 1st century B.C.
The bronze dome with almost rectangular eye cutouts and short nose-guard is completely preserved and undamaged. There are two holes on the bottom edge on each side, presumably for a chin strap. The piece has a green to black and metallic patina on the outside, the inside shows the patina the piece was found with.
Exceptionally beautiful patina.
An absolutely museum-worthy piece. This type of helmet is extremely rare. I have only seen one similar item at an art dealer (Hermann Historica, Axel Guttmann-Sammlung...)
