Raadvad - classic vintage Danish bread slicer, black, in mint condition

Description
Raadvad - classic vintage Danish bread slicer, black, in mint condition
Denmark - 1980s - wood, cast iron and steel

Raadvad was established in 1758, becoming famous from the 19th century for knives, blades and kitchen implements. Raadvad's iconic bread slicer has been produced for over a century, becoming a Danish design classic. No longer in production, you can still own one of these machines. This one was produced in the 1970s-1980s according to Ove Larsen's original mid-century design. The original black paint is in essentially mint condition without major blemishes (photos). The blade is excellent and the guillotine functions well. The mechanism for adjusting bread-slice thickness is intact. It can slice breads (including rye), cheese, soap, fruits or flowers. Or it can be used as a book-rack or as an unusual decoration, at home, or in a shop, cafe or restaurant.

Sent fully assembled, ready for use.

A wonderful vintage kitchen implement or charming decoration.
