A dutch colonial sirih box made of excellent tortoiseshell with sterling silver fittings. the key is no longer present.
Sirih is a stimulant chewed all over the world but especially in Asia.

This object is made of tortoiseshell and comes with a certificate. This certificate was drawn up by Mr. A Keddeman. The appraiser viewed this item physically and confirmed the material and dating. (Certificate 1054)
