Poul Henningsen - Louis Poulsen - Ceiling lamp - PH 5

Description
Poul Henningsen - Louis Poulsen - Ceiling lamp - PH 5
Denmark - 1950-1974 - Steel (stainless)

The evergreen classic PH5, probably the greatest design of a pendant lamp ever.

Poul Henningsen designed it 1958, but the roots for it traces back to his designs in the 1920's. This is when he perfected it. The "5" stands for the 50 cm diameter this magnificent lamps has. It is the perfect non-glare light that is so special about the PH-lamps. The red and blue interior ommits the perfect reading light for a kitchen table. It is design to perfection and that is why it is still in production today, over 60 years later.

This one has signs of living a life, there is dings and scratches. The lamp might need a bit of Love and Care, but the wear also gives the lamp character and authenticity. This is a middle-aged lamp, not a very early one, but probably around 30-40 years old.

The function is ok when tested. Please see picture as part of the desciription.
