Poul Henningsen PH5 lamp from Louis Poulsen.
The hugely influential and courageous designer, architect, writer and cultural critic Poul Henningsen (1894-1967) has made his mark in many areas of Danish thinking and design, and his legacy is an integral part of Louis Poulsen's work in shaping light.

The starting point for the way we shape our design and light can be traced back to Poul Henningsen's 1926 three-screen system, which he invented to reduce the discomfort glare and improve the light in his lamps.

The luminaire emits a 100% glare-free light. Poul Henningsen developed PH 5 in 1958 as a follow-up to his famous three-screen system. The luminaire emits both downward and lateral light and thus illuminates itself. In the PH 5 Classic, an internal red cone and a small blue reflector provide a warmer hue to the light.

the lamp is in good condition with some scratches and edges on the edges as it is an older lamp.
