Beautiful fragment of stony meteorite, chondrite NWA type, with a nice size and shape.

We can observe inside the meteorite an area with a regmaglypt and veins, where the material has crystallized.

A face has been polished so that you can see its interior.

Chondrites are the oldest materials in the Solar System, having an estimated formation age of 4,550 million years. They are meteorites that have not been differentiated, and since they contain iron, in this case, in high quantity, they are type H.

Most of them come from the asteroid belt located between Mars and Jupiter.

The characteristic of chondrites is the presence of chondrules, small balls of millimetres in size, largely composed of silicates.
The standard model for its initial formation is that they occur during the condensation of the solar nebula, of the cosmic dust.

Chondrules are considered to be the first elements from which the planets are formed.
