Opposition Tray by Zhang Lei & Xiaoxi Chen (AZL architects), part of the "(Un) Forbidden City" -project. - stainless steel, a refined play of volumes that is more common in architecture than in an object. The central part is round and flat, while the outer edge is raised, square and flat. The two are connected by an angled section fitting together evenly, without interruptions.

Lei Zhang

Graduated from Southeast University in Nanjing and completed his postgraduate studies in ETH-Zurich, Lei Zhang found his architectural firm AZL architects in Nanjing in 2001. In May 2009, Lei Zhang was named by Icon Magazine as one of the 20 architects who transform the future and change the way we work. AZL was selected by Design in Vanguard 2008 as one of the ten architectural firms. While winning Architecture awards such as "WA Chinese Architecture Awards" (2002, 2006, 2008) & "Chinese Architecture & Art Awards" (2004),
