Beautiful collection of original shaman and medicine man necklaces. Consists of 6 beautiful specimens each with their own story. All radiate a lot of power. And in all chains, a lot of animal material has been used, such as teeth, bone and hair.
Below are all the info, which is known to me, by chain.
1 chain from the Ifugao tribe in the Philippines. This tribe is best known for its history as headhunters also called cannibals. A beautiful coarse necklace with carving figures with a tooth in it at the end.
Length measured round 78 cm. weight 201 grams.
2 also originated from the Ifugao tribe in the Philippines. This chain is made of a kind of braided reed with many teeth incorporated in it. Length measured round 79 cm. weight 122 grams.
3 originating from Africa. A necklace made entirely of bone and teeth. Very nice to see because there are several layers falling over each other a very full chain. Length measured around 107cm and 49cm
4 is worn with birth rituals. It is believed that the soul of the baby will continue to hover above the baby for the first year. During a ritual, the soul is tied to the figurine in this necklace, after which the figurine is worn in the baby for the first year. Thus, the soul cannot get lost or take another soul from the baby.
