Beautiful and rare bilingual edition, illustrated in the text with about a hundred woodcuts. The translation for Portuguese is the responsibility of Manuel de Morais Soares, doctor of Queen D. Maria I of Portugal.
Good overall condition. Some pages show signs of time (yellowing). Ink signature at the end, by Jose Francisco

This edition included five fables found by Marquando Gudio, a
professor of Utrecht, also included in the 1776 Edition of Paris.
Very rare edition found in two Portuguese libraries; also at the New York Public Library, and at the University of Gottingen Library
