Ijzermans - Road bicycle - 1954

Ijzermans - Road bicycle - 1954
Unrestored - Frame size: 53 cm

In postwar Belgium there were not many large bicycle brands but every bicycle maker made his own "brand" of bikes. This beautiful specimen comes from the village of Wenigem and was expertly manufactured by a specialist.

The many wooden parts, however beautiful, were born out of necessity; there was a shortage of iron ore after the war. However, the firmness of the frame and the overall solidity has not suffered from this situation, the bike feels sturdy and cycles smoothly.

- Frame size: 53 cm
- Tyre size: 28 inches (28 x 1 5/8 x 1 3/8)

In short, a beautiful bike to cycle on for hours, or use it as a decoration. This lot can be picked up in Amsterdam or it can shipped. Shipping costs do not include 25 euros for packaging materials.
