Early Etruscan impasto ware jug of biconical shape. The single handle arches from the flaring mouth to the rounded shoulder.
The shoulder area and the back of the handle decorated with molded ridges.
Hand-built dark brown impasto with carefully smoothed surface.

Condition: Reconstituted from fragments. Old sticker on the flat base.

Provenance: Swiss private collection, since the 1970s. By descent to the last owner. Thence art market Zurich, December 2017 sale.
