Prehistoric, Bronze Age Bronze “Canaanite” axe-head, 13 x 4,5 cm

Prehistoric, Bronze Age Bronze “Canaanite” axe-head, 13 x 4,5 cm
1850-1550 B.C. (Middle Bronze Age)

The axe is one of the oldest tools used by mankind. This bronze axe head would have been able to pierce a metal hull because its narrow profile, combined with a firmly attached handle, meant that it could be swung with considerable force.
