Ancient Roman Carnelian Intaglio with an Imperial Eagle - 2.5×10×14 mm - (1)
c. 1st-3th Century AD - Europe

A finely carved red carnelian intaglio featuring a single-headed eagle standing on a capital, wings folded, shown frontal with head raised in right profile, a wreath grasped in its beak and flanked by two capitals surmounted with a star. It is in very good condition, ready for the ring. The high-quality baked impression is also included.
