Ugo Malvano (1878 - 1952).
Turin painter, who lived between Piedmont and Paris.
The painting dates back to the first half of the 20th, in which the artist often painted views and still lifes, characterised by strong contrasts of colours and full brushstrokes, characteristics that see the influence of the French expressionist current.
Several exhibitions have been dedicated to this painter, including a recent exhibition in 2006 'Ugo Malvano, l'esperienza di un pittore tra Torino e Parigi', at the State Archives in Turin.
