Ca. 300 - 500 AD Amazing Gandhara stucco seated Buddha. Sensitively modeled figure of the Buddha sits regally, in meditation position. The folds of the robe are skillfully carved with curved lines that reveal the contours of the body. The figure has youthful face with a gentle, calm expression. His hair drawn up into the Buddhist ushnisha topknot. The Buddha’s earlobes are extended due heavy jewelry he wore previously as a prince and are a sign of his rejection of wealth. This item comes with custom made stand.

This item includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Pax Romana London.
