The lot contains two rare sculptures:
1)The first lot presents the author's work of the soviet sculptor Galina Petrova. In the sculpture you see the signature of the author and the number of work No. 6. The work is made of cast iron. The work is considered ultra rare with a minimal and limited edition.

Producer: art casting workshop of the Sverdlovsk Iron Foundry (SCLZ), opened in 1956 on the basis of the Sverdlovsk Artel "Foundry worker". In 1966, the plant was officially renamed the Sverdlovsk Art Casting Plant, and in 1970 it was closed.

Petrova Galina Vladimirovna 1899-1986 - sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR 1948. Perm native. She worked in Khabarovsk (1920s), where she was a member of the Russian Academy of Arts (1927–1929). She lived in Sverdlovsk (since 1931), studied at the DNT art studio (1936–1941). Member of the Partnership “Artist” (1938), participant in exhibitions (since 1937). She worked in genre sculpture and portrait.

2)The second lot - famous French sculptor Jacques-Louis Gauthier was born in Paris in 1831, from an early age he studied crafts with the sculptor Rudot. Created by Gauthier in 1870, the sculpture “Don Quixote” became the most successful and famous of his work. In the same year, the author also created the sculpture "Mephistopheles", symbolizing Evil, and turned it into a double "Don Quixote", which symbolizes good.

This figurine, in a limited edition, began to be made of cast iron in the USSR since 1956 at the SCHLZ “Sverdlovsk Art Casting Plant.”, According to the original model by Gauthier and based on the mold provided by Kasli’s art workshop. The cast-iron figurine of Don Quixote was not released for long, from 1956 to 1962, after which the plant ceased to manufacture this model and the brand was changed.
