Ancient Roman Iron auxiliaries Long Sword Spatha.
A standart weapon in the roman heavy infantry giving an extra reach with its longer (much longer compared to the other standart weapon in roman army-the gladius) size. There are many evidances that this impressive swords were also used in gladiator games.
The classical form and proved efficiency are basis to the early medieval, vikings,medieval swords.
Very well preserved with stable metal and some small areas of serrate but eventhough the orange-brownish surface the sword is in very good grade of preservation.
Very Rare in this condition, stamped/signed handle!
