Neo-Baroque Miniature Special - Oil on Celluloid - Late 19th century

Neo-Baroque Miniature Special - Oil on Celluloid - Late 19th century

Original miniature picture on celluloid, a true work of art from antiquity from late 19th century with the signature of the author below on the right. The title of the work of 'La lección de música' and Laucret.
This mixed oil on celluloid technique is very novel for the time as the material was discovered and patented in the second half of the 20th century and some authors experiment on this material that later became famous for being the material that was used for the creation of cinema. There are hardly any works of art in this material, as most miniatures were made on ivory so today they are highly valued in the market by collectors and galleries.
This work of art is framed in a vintage frame that’s very colourful, gilded and has luxury marquetry.
Registered shipping and well packed.
