FRENCH VICTORIAN DAMASK LINEN SERVIETTES (6) - Linen - Early 20th century

Description
FRENCH VICTORIAN DAMASK LINEN SERVIETTES (6) - Linen - Early 20th century
France

These again are 6 outstanding damask linen serviettes.
They came from the same lady we obtained them from who quoted
" I have absolutely nothing with serviettes and always use white paper ones". And just as well, these have been saved and the design on the damask is absolutely superb. Please study the photos. They were taken early this morning and with damask photography it is very difficult to get the right balance as the intake of light makes such a difference to the photos.
The initials J.M. are finely embroidered and are resting in a very fine small stylistic frame. It looks as if the damask has just returned from the florists as it has on each border magnificent compositions of flowers with large branches ebbing away from it and on each corner large acorn leaves. Please study the photos well for the beautiful design.
A perfect set of 6 serviettes.
