Condition: The binding is damaged and lacks small pieces of leather, stamp and sticker on the title page and the interior has moisture stains and foxing, especially in the margins. See pictures.

Paolo Giovio (Paulus Iovius; Como, 9 April 1483 - Florence, 11 December 1552) was an Italian physician, historian, biographer, and humanist. Due to the early death of his father (in 1500) he was raised by his older brother Benetto, a historian and humanist whom Paolo greatly admired. (Wikipedia)
