2009 Biondi Santi Il Greppo - Brunello di Montalcino - 1 Bottle (0.75L)
Red wine - Italy - 95/100 points, Wine Spectator

Brunello di Montalcino Biondi Santi is a real oenological institution not only in Italy but in the world. Produced with Sangiovese grosso grapes from 10-25 year old vineyards located within the historic Tenuta Greppo, between 300 and 500 meters above sea level. He is kept waiting for a few years, at least 3 of which he spends in Slavonian oak barrels: time is not afraid of Brunello at all, ready to show himself in all its majesty even well over 30 years. The nose opens with notes of flowers and dried rose petals and then opens up to a rich olfactory range, which over time evolves on notes of spices, musk and ripe fruit. The taste is regal, material, savory, intense in an exalting harmony between tannins and acidity. Simply immense.
