Weltron 2004 white stereo cassette deck and FM/MW/SW radio from 1971, Space Age design.
Often used as a film prop and much loved by collectors of vintage and retro objects.
Weltron 2004 features a tape recorder and cassette player, a tuner, AM/FM radio, telescopic antenna, output sockets for headphones, built-in speakers on the sides, sockets for external speakers and a retractable handle at the top. It works with power supply or batteries.
It has the size and shape of a bowling ball and has a carrying handle. At the bottom of the swivel base there is a rubber suction cup that makes the radio stable on a smooth surface.
The Weltron 2004 is probably the hardest to find of all the series. The 2003 model, similar in appearance, is much more common and has an 8-track player instead of the cassette.
Both cassette and radio work perfectly, everything lights up. Exceptional sound!
The antenna is intact (very unusual for its age). Both the speakers work perfectly, the moulded rubber base is intact and has not been worn out at all. The headphone jack works perfectly.
